Using Pictures And Frames In GoAnimate

The following is a transcript of this tutorial:

Hi. Welcome to this tutorial about pictures and frames. On the agenda today we will show you how to use the GoAnimate image frames feature to make your images look their best. Pictures need to be handled carefully. A bit of stretching, a bit of squeezing… and the effect is ruined. Other pictures don’t have the perfect composition, or have an unintended object or person affecting the shot. With image frames, these problems can easily be addressed. No need to stretch or squeeze a picture to fit the frame or template you selected, the frame adjusts itself to perfectly match your picture.

Let’s use this computer template as an example. Simply select the template, and click on the screen. In the menu to the left, you will be able to select any picture you want. Let’s try a few. See how the screen’s aspect ratio changes according to the picture selected. Need a mobile or tablet screen? Or even a good old picture frame, no problem, just swap the frame for another one.

How about bad composition? Well, image frames can deal with that too. Simply double click on the frame to adjust the position and size of the image inside it. Any part of the picture appearing outside the frame will be automatically masked. For even faster cropping, simply hold “shift” and drag the control point of the frame to adjust its masked area.

You might even want to add extra space around an image like a logo to make it stand out more. No problem. Simply drag the control point to match the effect you want, and assign a background color to the image frame. In the menu on the left, click the color swatch to do so.
