What you need to know
As we transition from Flash to HTML5, you may encounter technical issues when watching GoAnimate videos.
If your video is compatible, it will automatically use the new player. You'll see a short message above the player telling you which version is active. If you run into any problems with the new player just click the link to switch to the legacy player
Depending on which video player is active, downloads or exports of your video will use the respective conversion engine. E.g. When using the new player, the new conversion engine will be used.
If you have trouble with the new conversion engine, switch to the legacy player and request the download or export again to trigger a conversion using our legacy converter.
Preview Player - Feb 2016
We’re excited to announce the release our new, faster, preview player (in beta) as part of a series of improvements related to implementing HTML5. Learn more about HTML5.
What can I expect from the new preview player?
- Faster load times
- Support for more complex videos
- Smoother zooming and other camera effects
How do I try it out?
It's automatic! Just use the preview feature as you normally do. If your video is compatible with the new player, it will automatically launch. You'll see a short message below the player telling you which version is active. If you run into any technical difficulties with the new player just click the link to switch to the legacy player.
We're still working out the kinks, but most videos created in the Business Friendly, Whiteboard Animation, Video Infographics, and Common Craft themes will use the new player automatically.
